To start off I was a couple minutes late to morning practice because I slept in a couple minutes. I felt way eghausted the whole day and then going into the work out. We all struggled today in the workout and we cant be having these kinda days if we want to achomplish the goals we have set for our selves. We really need to get the top 7 guys and just talk and find out what is going on. We talked about going camping this friday which I think is really important for us.&nbsp;</p> <p>I really need to figure out everything for myself too. I&#39;ve been questioning myself and having alot of doubt when it comes to my performaces and my place on the team. I was thinking about this race the whole week and getting really nervous for it because it would determine who went to bob. But as I&nbsp;talked to my step dad about the importance of the race he told me &quot;just go out and do it&quot; and thats what I did!&nbsp;</p> <p>I know that I can give a ton more durning the race and im going to prepare myself even more. Vizualizing the race really helps and thats what im gonna do every day for the next couple weeks. The pain will always be there but thats why we run, to feel that beatiful pain! All the sets went really good and I was even able to push alex on one of the last ones! The moment I got back i ran to my water bottle and just poured half of it on myself to cool off. Had a good set of 8x100 hills towards the end that felt really good and hard! A really deep thought came up in my mind tho on the afternoon run tho. Coach has been talking alot about running for the team and not for yourself and that has been one thing that I have been struggling with lately. Its really hard to push for the team when you dont feel apart of it. I&#39;ve been really struggling with feeling respected and included in activitys with the team. People only really respect you or talk to you if your the top dog. But there really isnt much I can do besides just trying to smile at people that ignore me and hope something changes. I was kinda nervous leading up to the race but i felt really confident going into the first mile. We had a really good group for the first 800 but then it just kinda fell apart. I really didnt have a racing mindset like i should have. I just go out there and try to run hard but i need to give it more then that. I gotta catch people and not stay settle with where I am. Not gonna lie I dont think i passed on dude after the first mile. Im really bummed with that but i now know what i need to do and get more focused in the race and not be scared to hurt. I should be up with nathen and i shouldnt even stop there. coach was talking about how a good team needs to have 3 all star runners but we need more then that for the goals we want to accomplish. We need a group of 7 guys that have each others backs when it hurts most.
